What UX Norwegian salmon export have in common?
In the "My website design process" podcast episode (https://csabahazi.com/ux-kitchen-podcast/028 - link in my bio) I was telling a story about how Norway created a campaign in Japan to export salmon. I think that's an exciting and fascinating story which has several 'lessons learned' for UX too. The main thing is the research bit. If Norwegians wouldn't go to Japan to understand the local perception of 'their' salmon, they could never sell much. Without research, they would have only seen the rejection from Japanese people saying 'We don't eat salmon'. That's the power of research! Helping to understand the viewpoint and thinking of the customer. How did you like my little story time? Should there be a story in the next podcast episode too? Or should I just talk about UX? What do you think?
