User scenarios
Earlier I described User story and explained when and why you should use it. Today I want to explain the difference between User stories and User scenarios.
.
❇️ User scenarios
The user scenario expands upon your user stories by including details about how a system might be interpreted, experienced, and used.
.
🤔 Why we use it?
User scenarios help designers understand what motivates users when they interact with a design.
.
User scenarios can be used in the ideation phase of a design project. This is where visualizing how a user will use a product or service will help generate design ideas.
.
User scenarios can also be used to determine the most important areas to test during usability testing and to provide guidance on how each test should be done.
.
Remember, it needs to be based on some form of insight into or research done with real or prospective users. Usually, user scenarios are based on user personas.
