Universal design in Japan
UNIVERSAL DESIGN IN JAPAN - Stationery First, what is Universal Design? Universal Design is the concept of designing all products and the built environment so that it can be accessed, understood and used to the greatest extent possible by all people regardless of their age, size, ability. 🎾Design for low physical effort ✂️Casta Safe Scissor The biggest difference between the Casta and typical scissors is in the handle. Instead of the loops where fingers go, there are two pads with springs. You can even use the scissor by placing it on the table. The length of the scissor is only 10 cm. It is easy for children to use. 🎾Design for all ages. The blades are covered in a plastic sheath to cover the blade edges and points. It makes a sound every time you cut. 🎾Design to be flexible ✏️🧽Kadokeshi Plastic Eraser This eraser is not just for looks. It consists of joint cubes with 28 angles that assure you always have a fresh corner to use. 🎾Tolerance for Error 📌PunyoPunyo Pin It features a cylindrical cover for the needle. This is a safety feature that prevents touching the needle when picking it up. 🎾Simple& Intuitive to use 📒Ripples note (リップルズノート) The diagonal cuts make the notebook easy to flip from both the front and back sides. 😬TAKEAWAY Every day we do things and take them for granted because we do them without any problem. But for other people, those same tasks can be challenging to do. If we could apply the Universal design principles to more products, more people with diverse abilities can easily and comfortably use them. 😉 I hope enjoy this post! 🔖 If you like this post, don’t forget to share with a friend 😄 Thank you!
