Prototyping is an essential step of a UX design process. But not all prototypes are the same.

From paper sketches to pixel-perfect mock-ups, it might be difficult to define what a prototype really is, and what is it for exactly. Basically, a prototype will allow your team to simulate the interaction of a single feature or a whole app.

All prototypes are interactive. This means that static assets, such as sketches and mock-ups need to simulate the interaction so they can be considered "prototypes".
