The image is there to improve the design, to give it а better meaning. Aristotle said "A soul never thinks without a picture", which means that they are more than important to the visual experience. 👁 _ Why avoid rectangles? Our mind has difficulty processing rectangles. The rectangle is not only an image, but also a negative space around it. Although we don't see it, our brain comprehends this space as rectangles that need to be processed, which causes it difficulty.
