Designing for children
Designing for children πŸ”„ Repost allowed just credit πŸ˜‰ 01 - Consider different age groups πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ When designing your product consider how children of different ages interact with it. For example content and complexity of your product designed for a 5 year old should be completely different from that for a 2 year old. 02 - Kids don’t wait ⏰ Adults can be patient and take the time to understand your product. On the other hand kids don’t wait that long. They need to understand your product within seconds. Big buttons , big text and imagery are helpful in such scenario. 03 - Motivate them πŸ”₯ Kids need to be encouraged to try again if you they got something wrong and be rewarded when they do something right. Otherwise they will leave your app immediately. 04 - Children love to listen to stories πŸ“– Understanding simple concepts in everyday world might be very easy for you to grasp on but to them its completely different. What fills this gap is stories! Telling them irrational explanation might help them to understand your product better. 05 - Don’t use too many choices 🍩 πŸͺ Giving children too many choices can lead to frustration when using your product. Keeping your choices to a minimum is a good idea. 2 - 3 choices is a good rule of thumb when creating your choices.
